About the T&SC

The CSPA Technical & Safety Committee (T&SC) consists of a dedicated group of volunteers that fosters a safety-first culture in skydiving by upholding the highest standards in safety initiatives such as:

  • Collect information from CSPA Members and Registered Participants in order to support and enhance the experience of Canadian skydivers.
  • Establish action plans based on the analysis of summary reports of accidents, incidents, and malfunctions (AIM reports).
  • Develop, implement and manage our CSPA rigger training programs.
  • Generate the requirements for CSPA rigger certifications and revalidations.
  • Write and promote safety articles for Canpara, social media and CSPA’s website.
  • Partner with other CSPA committees to evaluate and address pertinent matters.
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders in the skydiving community (international associations, manufacturers, government agencies, etc.).
